Our web site has recently been updated throughout including both a new layout and graphics and all-new content. We're always busy doing new and innovative things for our clients. This new content represents work done mostly over the last year.
I’m very pleased to announce that we are now able to deliver our finished animations on DVD. We have been able to successfully burn DVD’s that can be played in a conventional DVD player just like the ones many of you may have at home. If you don’t have one at home or at the office, DVD players are widely available for less than $200.
DVD offers tremendous advantages over videotape as a final delivery medium. The advantages are several. The video will be of higher quality overall. There will be none of the blurring and washing out of the original animation that is commonly seen on videotape. The animations can easily be paused and stepped through frame by frame while preserving the high quality. The video can also be played back at different speeds ranging from ½ to 1/16th speed by pressing a couple of buttons on the DVD remote control. Finally, a DVD can be set up with one or more menus so that selecting different video clips is easily accomplished just by pressing buttons on the remote. No more fast forward or rewinding to find the clip you want!
The only caveat is that not all DVD players can play all kinds of DVDs. We can help you choose one that will be compatible with our DVDs. If you want to investigate this for yourselves I recommend the www.vcdhelper.com website. Click the link at the left side of the page labeled DVD Players. The site is temporarily down right now but should be available again soon. You need a player that can play DVD-R or DVD-RW discs.
In addition to the updated web site it is our intent to provide much more in-depth information about what we do as animators. You'll find that information under the How we do it link at left. It is our hope to have new information there every month or two. We'll be covering in more detail how we go about doing the things we do. Over time you'll be able to learn more about how we digitize and model exemplar and accident vehicles, how we create an accident scene or how we go about the process of animating. We think you'll find this information helpful in understanding what an animator can do for you and in arguing for the admissibility of an animation.
